Sept 23rd: Dancing, Connection, and Giving Back

Our Community Bachata Social was a beautiful evening filled with music, movement, and the kind of connection that makes our community special.

We were grateful to have DJ Kev volunteer his time and keep the bachata flowing throughout the night. Around 40 people from the community came together, and the room was full of dancing, catching up, easy conversations, laughter, and long hugs.

We also celebrated Gerry’s birthday with a cake and a heartfelt “Happy Birthday.” Happy birthday again, Gerry! Thank you for always showing up for the community. 

A special thank-you to all the ladies of the community who showed up and showed out, outnumbering the leads! 

The night also gave us an opportunity to raise money and awareness for the NiceFlamingo Nurse Undead project. Thank you to Nicole, Shelly, and Ruben for donating right on the spot and supporting this important cause.

It was especially touching to hear Veronica share her gratitude for nurses and the care they gave her mom before she passed. Her words were a powerful reminder of the compassion, skill, and humanity nurses bring to people and families during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Another special thank you to Pam R. for giving the biggest door donation of the night. 

And finally, Thank you to everyone who came, danced, donated, shared, and helped create such a memorable Community Bachata Social. We’re grateful for this community and the way we continue to grow.
