Giving Back to the Dance Community

At NiceFlamingo, our connection to the dance world began organically. As dancers—particularly from the Kizomba and Bachata communities—became customers, our owner Carlos discovered a vibrant world that would change everything. He didn't just find customers; he found a community, and he became a dancer himself.

For over 5 years, we've been committed to giving back to those who create the spaces and experiences that bring dancers together. Our sponsorships are a thank you to the community leaders doing the work of building environments where dancers can connect, grow, and thrive.

The Community Bachata Social

Beyond supporting other events, we created our own: the Community Bachata Social, held every other Wednesday. What makes this social unique is that 100% of the cover charge goes directly into a community Venmo fund, which is reinvested to grow and strengthen our Detroit dance community.

Our Impact

Through our sponsorships, we've helped introduce Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and Country Swing dancing to newcomers, helping growing the community one dancer at a time. We support leaders who provide tailored spaces and experiences that make our dance scene thrive.
